The PowerVertex integrates whole body strength with core power and balance to improve functional strength. The PowerVertex allows multiple users (up to 8) to strength train with multi joint, 3-D lifts for sport-specificity and functional movement patterns. Push, pull, core stability, rotation, squat, lunge and stride type movement patterns can be trained for stability, strength or explosive power. Heavy duty resistance cords (Rhino Cords) allow for high speed, fluid long range of motion execution, and offer a level appropriate load, from rehab settings to the football linemen.

Because many sports require the athlete to generate force from the ground up, it is most effective to strengthen the muscles from the ground up, firing in the correct sequence. When designing a training program, many coaches think of the muscles of the trunk as a spiral staircase. They start by exercising the legs, followed by hips, midsection (flexion, extension, and rotation), and finally upper body. The PowerVertex is a natural athletic assistant to facilitate such training. The goal of the PowerVertex machine is to develop balance between muscle groups and to train the muscles from the ground up, enhancing transfer of strength generated on the court, field, or ice, and indeed, to everyday functions.

Variable resistance comes through the concentric loading of the elastic cord - the greater the stretch, the greater the resistance. The elastic properties of the cord are transferred directly into the muscles that are opposing it. Free weights like barbells and dumbbells use gravity to develop resistance for your muscles to overcome. Rhino Cords produce force as they are stretched
